The stairs ahead lead out into Oxford Street.
House of Fraser retails goods are sourced from three areas.
1) The first is buying in branded goods that have been designed and manufactured externally. These are known as concession brands and include clothes' lines such as Gas, Miss Sixty, Diesel and French Connection.
House of Fraser also has in-house brands - Linea, Platinum and Therapy - and these are sourced in the following ways:
2) Suppliers approach the Buyer and Designer and they select the items that they want in their store. The garments are already designed and made up, all that is to follow is customisation, which may be as simple as adding on a particular type of button on a jacket, to make it unique merchandise for House of Fraser.
3) Garments are designed in house from scratch and the labour in producing the garment is outsourced to a manufacturing company.
The timeline below will give you an insight into the functioning of House of Fraser's Central Buying Office which is located a few miles away in Victoria, London. The timeline images mainly focus on garments which are designed in-house from scratch.
The way ahead takes you to the lifts and other floors in House of Fraser.
